Weekend Update

Friday night was wrestling practice. I did manage to get some knitting done while there. The boys practice so hard and do so good I always find myself bringing my knitting but never taking it out. After practice it was then off to the grocery store to get snacks for Saturday. Wrestler snacks, bananas, apples, oranges, and poweraide. Saturday morning we rose bright and early at 430am. It was off to Legrande, Oregon (about 2 hours away) for a tourrnament. Piled into the car were three boys and their pillows. Dad driving and of course me knitting by task lighting. The two older boys didn't have anyone in there weight class so they took 1st place by default and now are proud owners of gold belt buckles. Thought they only gave buckles out at rodeos, but not in Legrande. My teenager did some exhibition matches and did really well. Huba, the little guy, had to wrestle. Keep in mind that Huba has been wrestling since January 3, 2007. His first match was against a kid who had been wrestling for 4 years and was on the Idaho state national team. I wa very proud of Huba for going the distance and not getting pinned. He is a great little escape artist. He's now working on escaping and then automatically shooting to get a take down. I did get some knitting done in between weight in and when wrestling actually started. On the way home i somehow found myself riding in the back seat. Now i only have one thing to say about that....IT SUCKED! Saturday night, we did some housecleaning and then I hid in my little room and got some cards made. Yipeee! Sunday morning, more housecleaning and card making then off to the Superbowl Party. Now at the Superbowl Party I got a lot of knitting done and even a little nap. By the end of the weekend I managed to get my tote completed for the International Tote Exchange I joined. Now all I need to do is felt it. Not too shabby since the weekend was completely consumed with sports.
