There’s a lot…. But read all the way to the end. ESPECIALLY FRIDAY NIGHT KNIT NIGHT GALS
Sometimes it is hard to think of things to blog about, except updating that I have another couple of inches on a project completed. But lately I have a laundry list of stuff that I want to post about but just no time to do it. So today I am playing catch up.
First off I feel like a complete ass about not thanking my secret pal for the package I received towards the end of April. It felt like Christmas opening it up. She did go way overboard. Included in the package was: Opal sock yarn, Noro Kochoran, Knitting notecards, a Yankee Candle, Hazelnut Chocolate Truffles(yummie), an Old Navy bag perfect for carrying my projects around, a Secret Pal pen, and a Knitting Magnet. It came on one of those “I just want to go home and go to bed days.” Thank you very much!
Once there was none, then there was one, and now there is none. Remember when I went to Packwood and all the girls had hand knit socks and I had none. The shame. Oh the shame. Then you saw a picture of one sock. Marvelous and with character it traveled onto my foot for a photo shoot. I’m sure it was thinking that it was headed to the bag of shame as it probably doubted my commitment to make it’s partner. Well, shame to be had by none. Not me and not my sock. I finished sock number and am now ready for Friday night at Packwood next weekend. I’ve already started another pair for Saturday.
CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST
Okay so I am not having a contest but I know where one is! All you have to do is follow the arrow and list out your summer goals on your page, link to hers at Skeins Her Way and tell her Rae from Pennknits sent you.
So, here’s my summer goals:
To buy more yarn than I need, plan more projects especially the real faddish ones that will be out of style before I get to starting them, start more projects than get finished, rearrange house to hold new yarn and WIP’s, and have fun doing it.! Okay so I’m being a smart ass. But, its probably more true than false.
But on to the actual goals:
Complete two more pairs of Packwood socks (for a total of 3) using the yarn from KitKatKnit on the third.
Find a pattern for that darn PINK GONG. Something lacey and wearable all year round.
Finish the alpaca shawl. All I have is the lace edging to do. One week of solid knitting on it should so it.
Complete both the Softwist Raglan and Alpaca Drops Cardigans
Knit only from stash.
Write a book. On what I don’t know yet. But hey since we are setting goals here.
CALLING ALL FRIDAY NIGHT KNIT NIGHTERS
The honey is working a lot of weekends due to the Energy Northwest ShutDown. So, I am offering up my back yard and kitchen to a DYE PARTY. So email and let me know what SUNDAY’s work best for you. Heide (link her) you are more than welcome to come! June would be best as that is when Judy (link her) starts having Sundays off. So let me know. This would be my first so might need a little help putting it all together.
