And Now for the Local Weekend News and Updates

I would like to start off by saying..... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IS GOING ON HERE! Okay now with that out of my system lets get on with the post. (minutes passing) (and passing) Really this weekend has been really quite. Friday night was spent arguing with the teenager over homework honesty and all that happy crap. I say crap as it has been going on for almost four years now. Craziness. Saturday I did get my flower beds clean out. Four black trash bags of last years dead growth. Plants are starting to poke up and things are turning green. So I am starting to get excited about that. I still have to go through a weed the winter weeds. Yes winter weeds. We water with irrigation water so I get weeds year round. I also made cards on Saturday. Probably about twenty eight. Ten of them are for a blog friend's birthday. It's a set of monogram notecards. The others were sympathy, thank you, and birthday cards for my mother. I think that I kept about four cards for myself. I keep a basket full of various cards on hand. The whole family and some of the kid's friends know where they are and we all use them when the need arises. It sure beats running to the store everytime there is a card shortage. Maybe today I'll organize them into catagories. You know like Hallmark. Just call it Raemark. I haven't picked up my knitting yet this weekend. I'm a little bored with K1, P1 one row then Knit the next. But, I am going to finish my current project before I started the Cable Down Raglan (see previous post). I'm on row fifty something of the front of a tank and there is only 150 rows. I already have the back done. So in most people's eyes I'm over the hump. Which I agree. But I'm stauling waiting for my second wind. The card making does give me some instant gratification. None the less my goal is to have the front done by next weekend and on my way to seaming up the sides. I'm able to work on this project and watch wresting practice at the same time.

Oh the gray hair that comes from arguing with teens over homework, I remember them well and now i color my hair to forget...
I'm the Duchesses mom. Never had to argue with her about homework, but the boys did.

Hey, look at that, my mom's been clicking about my blogroll, good for her!
Don't you just love the knit picks needles. My afore mentioned darling mother gave me a set of Christmas. I LOVE them.
Keep on going on your tank, you can do it. Oh, and I can't be taking up another hobby, but I must say I just love you cards, as do the friends I have given them too. So nice.
Have a good week!
