Rain Rain go away … come again another day. Okay actually I do not really want the rain to go away. Not for a couple of more days at least. It has been bone dry around here with temperatures in the 90’s. So rain and 50-60 degrees is rather nice.
I finished sock 1 of the Harvest Gold Lavender Sheep with the Heirloom Argyle. I’m finding that I like the socks. Compared to sweaters it is a very close instant gratification. I’m also finding that have two pairs of socks going at once keeps me motivated. I’ll do one sock then one sock of a totally different pattern go back and do sock 2 of the first pattern start a new sock with a 3rd pattern and then do sock two of the second pattern. Right now I have to complete the 2nd sock on two pairs to be ready for Packwood. I’m thinking that I might be able to accomplish that. Maybe. It’s going to be tough, you know with the time restraint. I mean two socks in a year…. Hmmmm do you really think that it is doable or am I going to have to put in it into over drive?
But, I have decided that I do need to get at least one of my sweaters completed before I go to Montana at the end of the month. Not entirely completed but ready for seaming. I haven’t done any type of seaming with the exception of crochet seaming. But I want to learn how to do the seaming where you work on the right side. Judie showed everyone how when we went to Packwood. But that was last month and I didn’t do but a couple of stitches. I do have A knitters guide to finishing. I should be able to figure it out. Plus, I’ll have Mom next to me helping. Right Mom?
